BIGEYES!!!!!

The winds that kept us to the dock on Thursday and Friday apparently pushed some fish in to the Point today. The first boats to set out had some tuna bites right away, and I decided to set out just south of the fleet. After about 20 minutes of trolling, we caught one dolphin, set back out and hooked two bigeyes! Once we subdued them, we fished for another 45 minutes or so and hooked a triple. Our fish weighed 153, 138, 117, 108, and 90. Give us a call, we've got some open dates this week.

Cinco de Mayo

We had the day off yesterday, and apparently we missed the bite. Late in the day the yellowfins showed up outside the Point, and the boats that were there had great catches. Today was a different story. The tuna left sometime last night, so we tried a little deep dropping for tile fsh and sea bass. The conditions were not the best, but we ended up catching a handful for dinner, including a 15 lb grouper.

Still waiting

We're still waiting for a little consistency in our fishing. We caught two tunas right off the bat, and then trolled around for hours looking for another bite. Eight blue marlin were released in the fleet today, so things are looking up for the coming week

What a difference a day makes

After yesterday's fishing, it looked like things were ready to break loose. Unfortunately, it was not to be. We scrapped out one king mackeral trolling, and made a few drops for sea bass and tiles to round out the day

TUNA, TUNA, TUNA

May has begun with the best fishing of the year. Big gaffers, wahoo and yellowfin tuna showed up in force today. The gulfstream change worked its way up close to the point, and we had the whole place to ourselves for the morning. We were rewarded with a few nice gaffers, a wahoo and some tuna. Give me a call and we'll try to get you out on the grounds for some of the best fishing of the year! I am open on Sunday, so call soon!

AT LAST!!!!!

Finally, we had some pretty weather and some fish have showed up! It was a little dicey crossing the bar this morning, but we made it across during a rare lull in the swells and didn't even get any spray on our curtains. There was a 12- 15 degree temperature break at the 400 line, and we found a half dozen tuna and a pair of 'hoos.

Tilefish and Sea Bass

It was a little rough getting to the grounds today, but it paid off with a great catch of Tiles and Sea Bass. I'll be hauling out tomorrow, but should be back in business by March 22. Give me a call and I'll do my best to get you out to catch some fish!
