After a couple weeks of maintenance complications and weather, we finally made it out fishing today. Mike, Bob, and Steve came looking for tuna, and we found a few today! The bar has been exceptionally shallow after all of the Northeast wind we have been having, so we waited for the Coast Guard to lead us out through the North Slough. It’s a little nerve wracking to run parallel to the oncoming sea but there is deep water, and we made it out safely. 
I was hoping for a Bluefin or two, but we found four bigeyes and four yellowfin instead. Great fishing with a great crew!
We just wrapped up filming Wicked Tuna Outer Banks this past weekend. It was a great season for the fleet, plenty of action and quite a few big fish! The General Category commercial quota has been caught and we are ready for charters! After about a ten day blow, the boats that fished Saturday and Sunday found the fish and they were HUNGRY!
