This Fall I decided to build a new helm for the Frenzy. I started with a simple box, and after many days of pondering where to put what, I came up with a clean, functional bridge design. After the tuna quota was full, we went to work at Spencer Yacht, and with some advice from Howard Rock at Marine Electronics of the Outer Banks, I now have a much more user friendly helm. I got an extra screen for my NavNet, and picked up a Garmin plotter with the GSD 26 sonar module with an Airmar 1 KW CHIRP transducer to complete the package. Everything is right at my fingertips when needed, and neatly tucked away with dual Lenco actuators at the dock. After 37 years, I think the old girl looks pretty good!
